New LDMOS Transistors for Commercial and INMARSAT Applications

M/A-COM, a leading provider of wireless radio frequency (RF), microwave and millimeter wave components, today announced two new 28V LDMOS (Laterally-Diffused-Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) transistors ideally suited for commercial and INMARSAT applications.

The MAPL-000817-015 is designed for commercial applications up to 1.7 GHz and provides 15W (P1dB), +28dBm average power out at -39dBc ACPR. The MAPL-000817-015 is designed to provide 17 dB gain at 960 MHz and 13.0 dB gain at 1.67 GHz, and is housed in a gull-wing, surface-mount package. The device can also be used at 12V, with about 3 dB lower power output.

The MAPLST1617-030CF is specifically designed for INMARSAT applications at 1.62 GHz to 1.67 GHz, and is designed to provide 30W (P1dB), with 14.0 dB gain and 50% efficiency at 1.67 GHz and is housed in a ceramic package with a mounting flange.
