M/A-COM ANNOUNCES NEW RoHS RADIO FREQUENCY TRANSFORMERS

LOWELL, Mass., May 23, 2006 - M/A-COM, a business unit of Tyco Electronics and a leading provider of wireless radio frequency (RF), microwave and millimeter wave components, today announced new RoHS versions of its reputable 50 ohm radio frequency (RF) transformers. These include the ETC1-1-13 which is one of the most widely used RF transformers in the industry with 4 million shipped last year. "M/A-COM is pleased to offer these RoHS approved versions of our most popular RF transformers, which provide low cost solutions for a wide variety of applications," said Don Carrick, product manager, M/A-COM, Inc. "Each year we produce millions of RF transformers for use in high volume applications and we work closely with all of our direct and indirect channel partners to ensure that these products are available from stock inventory." The four new transformers including MABA-007159-000000 the RoHs version of the ETC1-1-13; MABA-007236-C16423 the RoHS version of the ETC1.6-4-2-3; MABAES0060 the RoHS version of the ETC1-1TTR and MABAES0061 the RoHS version of the ETC4-1-2TR can be used in a wide variety of applications including wireless communications, WLAN, WiMAX and RFID. In addition to the 50 ohm transformers, M/A-COM also offers 75 ohm RF transformers for broadband/CATV applications.
