Stuart, FL - September 20, 2011 - Florida RF Labs is the recipient of a 2011 Florida Governor’s Business Innovation Award, one of the categories in a statewide program that recognizes Florida companies in emerging and high-technology industries for their contributions to Florida’s economic growth.
Florida RF Labs was recognized in the Business Innovation category for both design and manufacturing technology for its Diamond Rf® Resistives family of products. The technology was released in 2010 after fours years of development and is used in products that make our troops overseas significantly safer and which enhance our domestic security.
The company’s President, Brian DuPell said “Innovation and a strong customer focus are the necessary fuel for solving problems for our customers before our competitors do. We received this award for our Diamond Rf® components but this is just one of many new product initiatives that has driven our success.” He added “I am happy that all the smart people I work with everyday have been recognized for keeping us one step ahead.”
The awards were presented by Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll in Governor Rick Scott’s absence. “It gives us pride and pleasure to honor these companies for their success in job creation and enhancing Florida’s business climate. We’re working tirelessly to move Florida’s economy further uphill, so, these contributions from our businesses and economic development partners are highly welcome, encouraged and appreciated.”
Coordinated by Enterprise Florida, the awards presentation is held by the Governor annually during Florida’s Industry Appreciation Week in Tallahassee.
