El Segundo, CA – November 23, 2010

What: AWR® Corporation has launched weekly web training sessions aimed at new users of Microwave Office® software that want to make the most of their time as they learn this software for RF and microwave design of MMICs, PCB and modules. Whether an evaluator of the software or a new user or a returning customer, engineers will not want to miss these free weekly web training sessions.

Every Monday at 1pm Pacific Time, AWR’s Dr. John Dunn will conduct a live one-hour web training event, “Getting Started with Microwave Office.” This free course covers:

• How to navigate the software
• Working with schematics and graphs
• How to make measurements
• Layout flow
• EM simulation

A question and answer session is also included and participants will be encouraged to make the session interactive to maximize this educational opportunity.

Dr. Dunn is a recognized expert in electromagnetic modeling and simulation for high-speed circuit applications. Before joining AWR, he was head of the Interconnect Modeling Group at Tektronix and earlier was a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Colorado, where he specialized in EM simulation and modeling. Dr. Dunn holds a BA degree in physics from Carleton College and MS and PhD degrees in applied physics from Harvard University.
