Columbia, MD, November 4, 2010 — Rohde & Schwarz today announced that Scott Bausback will succeed Wolfgang Schmittseifer as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rohde & Schwarz, Inc. Schmittseifer has served as CEO since June 2003 and will now return to the company’s corporate headquarters in Munich, Germany to take on new responsibilities at a global level.

Bausback has served as COO of the company since December 2009 reporting directly to Schmittseifer, and brings more than 25 years of experience in the test and measurement industry to this key position. He held a variety of sales and marketing management positions during an18-year tenure at Tektronix Inc. In 1998 he was named Vice President and General Manager of their Communications Business Unit. In 2001 he joined LeCroy Corporation as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

He was COO at LeCroy from 2001 to 2007, followed by a series of T&M industry management consulting assignments. Bausback holds a B.S. from Rutgers College of Engineering, from which he graduated cum laude.
