Honolulu, Hawaii, - Anritsu Company introduces today at MTT-S IMS 2007 2 MHz and 6 GHz cable & antenna frequency extensions to its S331D/S332D Site Master™ cable and antenna analyzers. The Site Master 6 GHz extension allows users to accurately measure signals in the 4.9 GHz public safety and 5.8 GHz ISM bands, while the 2 MHz extension makes the analyzers well suited for defense and aerospace applications in which HF coverage is needed. With these new options, the inherent advantages of the S331D/S332D are now available over the entire 2 MHz to 6 GHz frequency range. Their sweep rate of 3.5 msec/dp is superior to alternative handheld instruments, and they weigh less than comparable units. The analyzers’ high sensitivity allows them to identify poor connections, damaged cables, water penetration, and bad antennas before they become costly system failures. Compact and easy to use, the S331D/S332D allow precise Return Loss/SWR, cable loss, and optional T1/E1 and power meter measurements to be made during the deployment, installation, and maintenance of wireless networks. They use the Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) technique, which allows more accurate Distance to Fault (DTF) analysis to be conducted. These capabilities give field engineers and technicians the ability to easily identify and solve RF system problems such as coverage, interference, and other path-related signal problems. The S332D also includes 100 kHz to 3 GHz spectrum analysis for extra versatility in a single instrument. It provides users with fast measurement capability, as all key measurements, such as field strength, Occupied Bandwidth (OBW), channel power, Adjacent Channel Power Ratio (ACPR), interference analysis and Carrier-to-Interference ratio (C/I), can be made with a single button. Other options offered in the S331D/S332D include the GPS receiver and the High Accuracy Power Meter. In addition to the public safety, IMS, and aerospace/defense applications, the S331D/S332D can be used in other wireless applications. Field technicians can use the analyzers for installing, provisioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting VHF, broadcasting, paging, cellular, PCS/GSM, 3G, ISM, WLAN and WLL systems. Delivery is 6 to 8 weeks ARO.
