Orlando, FL (CTIA 2007) ¾ Anritsu Company was one of the participants in the recently-completed second public mobile WiMAX Forum® PlugFest, an interoperability showcase hosted by AT4 wireless Labs in Malaga, Spain. Anritsu’s participation in the PlugFest is the most recent example of the company’s commitment to providing test solutions for WiMAXä developers and shows its commitment to be a leading test provider to ensure the performance of next-generation networks (NGNs). Anritsu’s Signatureä MS2781B, MG3700A vector signal generator, and BTS Masterä MT8222A handheld base station analyzer were included in the WiMAX Forum PlugFest. The PlugFest provides Mobile WiMAXä equipment suppliers an open environment in which to test compatibility and interoperability of equipment in preparation for certification. Interoperability is the foundation of standardization and the core tenet of the WiMAX Forum’s efforts. Certification of Wave 1 mobile WiMAX products is scheduled to begin in mid 2007, with market availability of WiMAX Forum Certified mobile products beginning in late 2007.
