M/A-COM Expands Presence in China

M/A-COM, a business unit of Tyco Electronics and a provider of wireless radio frequency (RF), microwave and millimeter-wave components, announced the opening of the M/A-COM - Shenzhen Engineering and Operations Center in Shenzhen, China. The Center houses operations and engineering expertise and staff from M/A-COM’s Infrastructure and Broadband product line team, which is responsible for manufacturing, quality assurance, planning and engineering for the company’s ferrites, multiple virtual storage (MVS) and cable television (CATV) product areas.

The M/A-COM - Shenzhen Engineering Center is a fully capable facility that enables M/A-COM to rapidly create and manufacture derivative product designs, with local engineering resources available to support the company’s customers who have manufacturing and engineering facilities in China.

“The M/A-COM - Shenzhen Engineering and Operations Center is a tremendous asset for our company as we expand our footprint in Asia. With this facility we can provide our customers with the resources that they require, where they need them,” said Tim Emery, vice president, sales, M/A-COM. “This facility is central to M/A-COM's international sourcing strategy and is an important component in the expansion of our Infrastructure and Broadband business efforts in China and throughout Asia.”
