Emblation Microwave launched a fully USB controlled 2.45 GHz microwave generator at this year’s EuMW.

The ISYSconnect is Emblation Microwave’s most cost-effective generator to date – with savings for customers of up to 30 percent on the cost of the flagship product, the ISYS245 microwave generator. Offering more than just value for money, the USB driven ISYS245connect includes real time monitoring, the ability to automate tests and processes and the functionality to capture, store and analyse all your vital measurement data.

Retaining the compact, lightweight and portable design that comes as standard with all Emblation products, the ISYS245connect is completely USB controlled with full control available from a graphical user interface and the ability to capture data in real time for detailed analysis. The ISYS245connect includes:

• Real time reflected power measurement

• Real time forward power measurement

• Real time temperature & system status

• Data storage and management capabilities

• Automated test and measurement function

• Simple Graphical User Interface (GUI)

Featuring all the functionality of the flagship ISYS245, minus the front control panel, the ISYS245connect is light-weight, compact and portable – allowing the user to move the generator from lab to lab and taking up significantly less space than standard microwave generators. The ISYSconnect uses the latest technology and a unique cooling system to produce a highly efficient 2.45 GHz system, capable of generating variable power in excess of 100 W utilising Emblation’s safesweep® reflection measurement capability and temperature stability.

The ISYS245connect software package comes free of charge, and is fully compatible with any PC or laptop and Windows XP, Vista and 7.

EuMW Whisky Competition

Emblation is a proud Scottish company and to fly the flag at this year’s EuMW, the company gave away a bottle of Tullibardine Aged Oak, Single Malt Whisky. The winner, drawn at random, was Pascal Simon, Technical Manager at the Louvain School of Engineering's Microwave Laboratory.
