Integral Systems, Inc., announced that the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) has awarded the Company a $1.7 million contract modification to its Command and Control System-Consolidated (CCS-C) contract.
The contract modification establishes a new contract line to extend Integral Systems’ integration of the Blue Force Server prototype on the CCS-C system to the Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC) for the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) system. Under the terms of the contract, Integral Systems will expand the current prototype Space Operations Center (SOC) 31 to support additional WGS payload telemetry and WGS spacecraft. The modification also funds a full backup system that will be installed into SOC-32. Interim Contractor Support will provide the Air Force with experts from Integral Systems during the implementation phase.
“We have worked closely with the Air Force to achieve the aggressive goals set out in the CCS-C program,” said Larry Lind, CCS-C Senior Program Manager, Integral Systems. “The contract modification extends the work we have done to JSpOC as the military begins relying on the critical WGS system to provide 24/7 situational awareness from on-orbit assets and enhance overall MILSATCOM mission awareness.”
The CCS-C contract, first awarded in early 2002, enables a unified Command and Control (C2) capability for the 50th Space Wing’s complete family of MILSATCOM programs. By employing standards-based systems and an open architecture approach, the 50th Space Wing efficiently and cost-effectively supports future satellite platforms and programs. Lind continued, “The flexibility and exceptional performance of our CCS-C team, combined with an outstanding partnership with the Air Force, has been a winning combination as we continue surpassing expectations and delivering a cost-effective, powerful and reliable networked C2 system.”
