By setting up the subsidiary – Spinner Comercio e Indústria do Brasil Ltda.Spinner has continued its commitment to providing ‘High Frequency Performance Worldwide’ by expanding its network of subsidiaries for manufacture, sales and service. Together with production sites in Germany, Hungary, China and the US, the new facility means that the company is active in almost all continents, offering its customers international presence and global support.

Latin America is seen as one of the key growth markets in the coming years. The Football World Cup in 2014, the Olympic Games in 2016, and the digitalization of the TV networks are just a few examples of business investment in the near future. Broadcast and mobile communication will be the focus markets for the orientation of the new factory. High import tax levels, time-consuming customs clearance procedures, and the need for local service availability underline the demand of customers to have a site within Brazil.

“It is especially in view of the complexity of broadcast systems that Spinner do Brasil offers us excellent opportunities to provide optimized solutions which help our customers and partners to be successful,” said Poliana Lanari, Managing Director of Spinner Brazil.

The central location of Brazil within the continent is an excellent basis for access to all other important countries of Latin America. The facility in the Eldorado Industry Park Spinner do Brasil in São José dos Campos, east of São Paulo, includes two halls, comprising about 1,500 m2 of office and production space. Good transport connections to airports and main traffic routes, the proximity to the production facilities of suppliers, and to logistics and research institutions and universities as well as access to a motivated and qualified staff pool were key factors for choosing to set up the subsidiary.
